Family Getaway

We rented this home as a little getaway after quarantining for many weeks. Upon arrival, the first thing that we noticed was how clean the house was. It was also stocked with everything we could possibly need - extra blankets and night lights in every bedroom, fans, space heaters, games & children's books, pool floats galore, etc. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay easy and he also reached out to me more than once to make sure everything was going well with our stay. The pool was also great - the water was clear and warm and there is so much room on the deck to sit, eat, etc. It was also really nice to have access to the garage. We loved our stay!

Family Reunion

We had our family reunion at the Alto, MI house and enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of room for our extended family. My son is confined to a wheelchair so the ramp and multiple bedrooms on the main floor were very helpful. He was able to access the house, deck, pool, and yard easily. The beds were cozy and comfortable. The deck was spacious and had plenty of seating. The kids enjoyed the fire pit and the s'mores (those supplies were provided along with roasting sticks!) The yard was private and had plenty of room to set up our corn hole games. Mike's Pizza had great pizza and pasta just down the road and the local ice cream shop was within walking distance as well. We all enjoyed the pool and sitting out on the deck drinking coffee and eating breakfast in the morning in the beautiful MI weather. We had a great time and Ashley was readily available to answer questions and help with anything we needed. Robb, the owner, was easy to work with to set up our stay as well.

Annual Family Vacation

My hat goes off to Robb, the owner, and Ashley the property manager. They both are wonderful people to work with. The house, pool, pool toys / accessories, and backyard areas are amazing. We pulled up in front of the house and thought that the house would not be big enough for my extended family of 14 siblings and young children. Well, you open up the front door and see that the house extends to the rear where the pool and backyard is located. As it turned out, we spent the entire five nights at the house...!! We enjoyed it so much that no one took any day trips into Grand Rapids or the surrounding areas. Well, my brother-in-law and I did make a quick trip down to the Gunn Lake casino which was about a 25 minute drive. ;-) We also took nightly trips to the Red Caboose Ice Cream parlor which was a about a 15 minute drive. As you read in the other reviews, Mike's Pizza and another ice cream place are right around the corner. Walking distance for both. There were at least three large umbrellas affixed to the tables on the deck which were perfect for those who try to stay out of the sun. Everyone was able to be together on the two decks and pool area. The gas grill, large beach towels, and sunscreen near the rear patio door were nice touches. We have a lot of older children, nieces, nephews, non couples, etc., that need their own bed and Peaceful Waters' bedroom layout was pretty good. If Robb could squeeze in two twin/full beds in one of the bedrooms that have a Queen, that would be ideal. The fully stocked Kitchen and other necessary stuff that you may need while on vacation were already in the house. The coffee bar is a hit. Has anyone mentioned that there is another full size refrigerator in the garage..?? BONUS..!! My sister-in-law was not a big fan of the fire pit out back because she dropped a burning marshmallow on her bare foot one night. Well, it was not the fire pit's fault. She was not paying attention to the burning marshmallow on her stick and was more worried about the graham cracker and chocolate falling out of her hand. A burning marshmallow on bare skin..?? Ouch..!! I cannot add any more positive comments than what the other guests have shared in their reviews. I have been researching vacation homes for my family since 2015 and I read ALL house reviews with a fine toothed comb. The reviews you are reading on Peaceful Waters are spot on..!! The photos in the gallery and the doll house views of the house are excellent. Did I mention that Ashley and Robb were wonderful to work with...?? We were so impressed with GR Vacations Homes that my family is considering returning to Peaceful Waters every year. My family is VERY picky about the vacation homes we are spending money on and if they are excited about returning to Peaceful Waters and the other homes that Robb owns you can bank on the fact that Peaceful Waters will not disappoint. Enjoy.

Lovely Home

Our family just spent four nights in this lovely home for Christmas. At times there were up to 19 people with 3 dogs and we had plenty of space between the upstairs and the lower living area. It was fully stocked down to little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the bathrooms. The kitchen also has everything you need. Everything is labeled - cupboards, remotes, light switches, etc. This was extra helpful! I was very impressed at how clean it was - not a speck of dust to be found! Robb was very easy to deal with and even allowed us to check in early at no extra charge. Lastly, the location was perfect to Grand Rapids. I would definitely stay here, or at one of their other properties, again!

Fall in Michigan

We had a group of 11 including 4 grandchildren on our visit to this property in October. We always enjoy being together and a big house with lots of bedrooms is essential. Our host Robb, was very attentive to our stay and made sure everything was in order. The house is well appointed. There are ample supplies of dishes and cooking supplies which is good because we like to eat!! The house is clean and comfortable and it was remarkably quiet at night. It is also very convenient to the airport. The weather wasn't the best but we did get out and enjoy the fire pit and made s'mores from the welcome basket we found when we arrived. I recommend this hose for your next trip to the Grand Rapids area.

Great house for a family gathering

We were in the Grand Rapids area for our son's wedding. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were plenty of kitchen essentials to do some of our own cooking. The bedrooms were private enough that we could put the little ones to bed while the rest of the group stayed up to visit. The deck and back yard looked like fun but we were unfortunately unable to enjoy that because it rained off and on most of the weekend. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this for a fun rental just outside of the city.

Wonderful Home

We enjoyed our stay in Alto very much. When you pull into the driveway the house looks quite small but don't be alarmed, the house is spacious and lovely inside and the deck and back yard are large with many amenities. We really loved the fact that all the light switches and kitchen cabinets/drawers are labeled which made being in an unfamiliar environment so much more comfortable. There were many small touches that made the home very welcoming, including a fully stocked coffee bar that kept our family very happy.

It was a great time had by all. Owner was very responsive to our inquiries and the home was well stock with essential items. Kids loved the hammock and the pool.
